Coronado is a paradise. Those who are lucky enough to live here are passionate about sharing their little bit of heaven with anyone who ventures across its borders. There is much to do, see, learn, and experience in this charming sanctuary that we call Coronado Island. That is why Coronado is rated one of the top places to visit for a tourist.
Approximately 32 square miles, Coronado Island is connected to the mainland by a 10-mile tombolo called the Silver Strand. Some say the connection to the Silver Strand makes Coronado a peninsula, rather than an island. Others argue that there are two separate geographical features, an island and a tombolo, that make up Coronado. However, everyone agrees that once you arrive in Coronado and take in the pristine beaches, swaying palms trees and idyllic setting, it is easy to believe you have been swept away to a magical place. Visit the island and live the dream!
